Browse3D Free VRML viewer Windows
Browse 3D is a vrml browser. It allows you to open, view, and navigate 3d worlds in vrml format.
The program will run local wrl files as well as remote ones located on the web. This program uses
the Blaxxun Contact plug-in. Available for free from their website. The German company Blaxxun has
a long powerful API allowed vc++ programmers to route their own vrml worlds and commands straight
from inside of C++. You can insert the Blaxxxun plugin as an activeX control inside your new project.
The following program is just that. My own twiddles with the Blaxxun API. NOTE, this is a beta, it works,
but some buttons may have you scratching your head.
Download the Browse3D.zip file from http://www.3dtrue.com/vrml/ section.
This is a zip file, you will need an unzip program. Unzip this archive to c:/Program Files/3dtrue/Browse3D folder.
Next, download and install the free version of the Blaxxun Contact program from: http://www.blaxxun.com/
Accept the normal standard installation of Blaxxun. After blaxxun is installed, you may freely run the browse3d.exe program.
It is recommended that you keep your browse3d program inside
the c:/Program Files/3dtrue/browse3d/ folder. Browse3d.exe can take snapshots
of your current scene and save them for you. Snapshots are saved in the c:/Program Files/3dtrue/browse3d/capture folder.
