Getting started with character creation? Here's a simple 
pose-enabled stick figure you can install in Poser. It has 
the most basic functionality for those who learn by backwards 
engineering. 

Depending on your 3d modeling program, open the obj file 
found inside the archives Geometries folder. Import that 
obj file into your 3d app. You will see the linking and grouping 
neccessary for a simple character. This object file was imported 
into PoserPro Pack then entering setup room, open the grouping 
window, choose autogroup. That will break down your body 
pieces just as you did in the obj file. Next, draw some joints/bones 
inside setup. Note how joints are parented so start from 
the base of your figure (typically the hip) and work your 
way out. 

Afterwords, you can always tweak the innermatsphere and outermatsphere 
inside the setup room to adjust how the figure bends and 
twists.
