PoserSpeak is a plug-in for the Windows Poser environment. Quite simply, it let's your characters talk. You provide the text, choose a voice, PoserSpeak generates a wav file with your speech content and places it on your Poser stage. It then takes your selected figure's head and adjusts the morphs frame by frame to match up with your speech. It works with any voice and is fully SAPI5 compliant. SAPI compliant means if you are running Windows, you can use PoserSpeak. Microsoft provides several voices free of charge and there are are a host of companies which develop third party voices. PoserSpeak works with a wide variety of characters. It analyzes your selected figure on the Poser stage and determines where to set each morph in time with the speech file. These morph translations are remarkably diverse and work on such popular characters as V3, M3, Jessica, Behemoth, Aiko, all standard Poser figures as well. Additionally, you can add your own templates to PoserSpeak to customize your very own facial poses for PoserSpeak.
This tool works seemlessly with up to three installations of Poser. That means you can use PoserSpeak in Poser 4 ProPack, Poser 5, and Poser 6. Regardless of which version of poser you have open, the tool recognizes the installation and applies the speech to the proper character on your stage. Go back and forth between PoserSpeak and Poser, it even remembers your last speech render so you can apply it to the same character with one button click. New version now let's you mix sounds and add multiple voice tracks.
PoserSpeak users should be familiar with the very basics of the Python Script menu. It is the doorway into PoserSpeak. Basically, in the Poser file menu choose Window > Python Scripts. If you can do that, you can use PoserSpeak.
New version 1.49+ supports multiple sound channels. You can now mix an entire conversation with several figures talking on a single Poser stage. PoserSpeak mixes your tracks for you with customizable mixing controls.
