What is the difference between PoserSpeak and Mimic?
Mimic allows you to import a sound file from your computer, like a song, or a recorded speech.
PoserSpeak uses computerized voices to record any text you want spoken.
Both Mimic and PoserSpeak allow you to customize and adjust your figure to match the recorded track.
PoserSpeak uses the words you type to produce facial gestures (called visemes or phonemes).
PoserSpeak can match lip, tongue, and mouth movements perfectly.
PoserSpeak runs as a plug-in inside of Poser. You launch PoserSpeak from your Poser stage.
When you record your speech, your Poser stage is automatically updated with your new animation and soundtrack.
Mimic is a standalone program, it does not read data to/from your Poser stage.
PoserSpeak works on any figure with morphs. Mimic works on figures which are Mimic ready.
Mimic is available from daz3d.com. PoserSpeak is produced by 3dtrue.com.
You cannot import a music track into PoserSpeak and animate the mouth to the music.
Mimic is perfect for importing music tracks for animation.
Mimic retails for $200.00, PoserSpeak retails for $45.00
