Activate the PoserSpeak debug feature
If PoserSpeak is giving you trouble, a detailed debug feature is built-in to help solve problems. Please use the debug feature to output a log and send us the log.
Notice, this feature will slow down PoserSpeak's operation speed greatly, please only use the debugger to solve install problems.
Turn on the debugger. PoserSpeak senses that it is in debug mode by looking for the presence of a text file called debug.txt (que file). If PoserSpeak finds this file in the main program directory then the debugger will run alongside PoserSpeak. If you installed PoserSpeak in the default location, then activate the debugger by creating a new blank text file called debug.txt at "C:/Program Files/3dtrue/PoserSpeak/debug.txt". If you installed PoserSpeak outside of the default location, be sure and place the debug.txt file in the proper location (alongside the poserspeak.exe file).
The debugger gives detailed output information which can help you debug install problems. The output file is stored at "C:/Program Files/3dtrue/PoserSpeak/bin/debug.txt". Please note this file is different from the que file which is stored outside the bin folder.
Turn off the debugger by removing the file "C:/Program Files/3dtrue/PoserSpeak/debug.txt". You can just delete this file, it is empty anyway and only servers as a que for PoserSpeak to run debug.
So if you have trouble using PoserSpeak turn on the debugger (see above), then run PoserSpeak normally (inside Poser). When you get to the part where PoserSpeak has a problem, send us the output file: "C:/Program Files/3dtrue/PoserSpeak/bin/debug.txt"
Don't forget to turn the debugger off when you are done (see above).
