THREAD:52 ID:52PoserSpeak 1.37...The latest release of PoserSpeak was uploaded to the server this afternoon. Version 1.37 has a couple of cool changes worth making you read about here.

I added a strength scroller to PoserSpeak's record window. You can turn it up and down which gives you more control from a mumble to a yell. I think you will dig it. I also added a Limit checkbox which will restrict the templates from using values less than zero or greater than 1. Try talking with Jessi with limit on and off and with various Strength settings and tell me what you think.

In PoserSpeak, at the Record window, an additional checkbox labeled "Add/Rem Frames" has been added. This option allows you to control if PoserSpeak adds or deletes frames to your Poser stage for you. Unchecking this means you need to add enough frames on your Poser stage manually before you hit record. Otherwise, your head will not be able to finish talking. This option was added so you could take an existing animation of a figure, and add speech to it without lossing any of your frames. Heads up and hats off to Ken for this suggestion.

The upgrade is 1.37 and is available from 3dtrue.com website. Go to the About tab inside PoserSpeak and choose "Check for Updates". You must be connected to the internet to download the latest version.

THREAD:52 ID:57Suggestion for sliders...Can I make a request for a numbers dialog box next to the sliders for volume / pitch / rate and now strength. I will need to come back to those for different charcaters that i will re-use, not only a numbers box but also a save option so that I could enter a name say for my charcater eg Sammy12 or whatever
Also a browse button to take me to where the wave files are stored to delete as and when required but thats a bit of lazyiness on my part
I visited Textaloud and purchased several voices which I can access in Poserspeak but need to save the settings as I alter them for the different charaters
I like the option of being able to edit the files and have created several by coping the P6 folder and doing adjustments. I'll write a full review near the end of the week
Up to now a excellent product and so easy to use a thumbs up from here :winkani:

THREAD:52 ID:60RE:strength and limit...This is great feedback! I take you it saw the bottom status bar tells you the current value for each slider right? I will see what i can do about the values. The save option is also in the works, i will see if i can incorporate a name as you suggested. Thanks for feedback! Can't wait to roll my sleeves up again on PoserSpeak.
I'm reinstalling my home system today and tomorrow so i won't be in chat much, but i am listening. thanks Romskye!

THREAD:52 ID:61MY personnel review of Poserspeak...Record speak tab

Once the speech dialogue text is typed in the
preview/pause/save buttons.
Preview rename it to play
Pause does not pause it, it stops it and when you
press preview it starts all over again pressing
pause again does not un-pause it
Save could do with a browse box to see what names
you have used , why well I tend to apply the voice
and movement to the figure save the file in poser
then do another speech file. This allows me to
render overnight while in the day time keeps me
working.
Also when I save and go back to poser to see the
result and dont like it, going back into Poserspeak
(remembering to delete the added frames) I maynow
alter the strength re-save then back to poser, I
may do this several time till I'm happy with the
speed / lip movement pauses etc
I would like to see a load button so I could go
back to a previous saved as that might have been
the best also I tend to forget names I've used and
might overwrite a file I could be using later on in
the overnight render
Now I have noticed in Poser unless I set the frames
too 1 and 1 instead of the default 1 and 30 ( the
point was on 1 and then moved to 30 to see if it
made a difference, no)Poserspeak does not transfer
the wav file. It does the head movements etc but no
sound only on the first attempt, strange?

Voice Preferences

voice drop down fine
Volume slider at the end a number setting box
Pitch slider at the end a number setting box
Rate slider at the end a number setting box
(have noticed using TextaLoud voices the only thing
these sliders adjust is the volume)

Animating Preferences

Strength slider again a number box at the end
(this though is a great added slider as before I
was having to do adjustments in the 'P6 folder'
renamed for some of the fiqures as the lip movement
was too great very nice saved a lot of work)
Check boxes all fine and key frame interval ok
Now here comes a extra, needs a save as / load
button so I can save and then load the pre-defined
setting voice/volume/pitch/rate/strength/checkboxes
for a particular figure that I wish to use again
with the same voice etc
I had noticed the bottom line does tell you what
setting but having Notepad loaded to keep track is
not the best solution

Morph routing

Using templates
used this alot for the different figures but has
been kind of over-written with the strength slider
but I do like being able to alter things
The other drop-down boxes are fine and you can
produce some very weired effects like this

Installation
I think you have this right and although I only use
the 1 box the option is there

Python buttons
does what its says in the description ok

About
glad you included the readme button / visit site
and the check for updates my 'bookmarks' are fit to
bursting and hence is so easy to find this way

Now some may think I've been harsh here, not meant to be , I think this product is excellent and so easy to use, it will no doubt draw a lot of people to it rather than something else and I wish the auther every success
Recommendation 9
Easy to use 9
Documention 8
Ezamples 8 (would like to see them as a optional sownload)
Overall rating 7

P.S my spelling 2 no 1 sorry

THREAD:52 ID:62RE:MY personnel review of Poserspeak...Now that's a review! I'm with you on just about everything. My tests have the pause button working fine. The Poser sound should be adding at current frame correctly too, but there is still a glitch in adding more frames after than animation is done and sound is in place. I think its a bug in the Poser Python sound method because i get the same result with just a python test. I am still looking into this though.

I liked what you said about the new "strength". It does kinda change things in the morph window. I was actually thinking a "strength" slider on every morph would make for some major customization.

I like your load and save idea too. My thoughts: because the name of the figure can sometimes change even though its still the same figure. I want to integrate a guesser for each figure based off its incoming morphs. This guess can and will be saved by making changes in the morphs window.
You can just load a saved version as you suggest, but before you load it, PoserSpeak may be able to guess the name and the saved pref before you choose it. Hard to explain and i am still tweaking this idea. But after a few weeks of using PoserSpeak, the program could pretty much nail whatever figure you load based off the last time you dealt with a similar figure.

Jeez i know this is a long post sorry. But buyer comments are so helpful! thanks again.

THREAD:52 ID:63RE:RE:MY personnel review of Poserspeak...the text changing values next to each slider have been added last night. I am holding out to put a memory button in the morph channel before i update. Thanks again for the feedback. I will email you when the new version is out. Probably this time tomorrow if all goes well. The memory thing i have decided to start with a simple last used setting. This uses less buttons which i like b/c i want to keep PoserSpeak super simple to use. With tomorrow's release we can decide how far we want to take the memory. Plus the idea of self-learning can still come into play if there is only the last used setting. This sounds really unclear in my explaination still. Also better to show not tell. Tis true again this time. Till then, nights for me. :eyemouth:

THREAD:52 ID:64re boxes & buttons...Blimey your quick off the mark aren't you. Look forward to the next version.
I uninstalled Poserspeak and re-installed it, still getting loss of audio on the first import so I loaded it on another machine along with Poser 6 and nothing else add-on wise again unless I set the range of frames to 1 to 1 the audio gets dropped but not the moments. I'd like to know ,and know doubt you would anyone else with this problem or non-problem?
Come on people the more we test this the better chance James has of correcting or improving the product , give him the support :wink2:

THREAD:52 ID:65RE:re boxes...hmm, i will investigate this sound problem further this evening. thanks for the post. The memory button is done but i haven't tested it on my other machine yet. Still on track though for a release sometime this evening. I will release version 1.38 before i look more at the sound bug.
