mistake...Ok I've made another mistake. I now have 3 of the "Realspeak" voices (22khz) and they all work in Poserspeak the 1 that doesnt is made by Acapella again a 22khz. I wonder what the difference is ? |

Acapella...Howdy Romskye, Last time I checked the Acapella Heather (22khz) voice from NextUp it was in beta but worked on Windows (ie it would generate speech). But the beta part was that Heather was not SAPI5 compliant yet. It did not output the speech viseme pattern (which makes it SAPI5). PoserSpeak uses this viseme pattern to generate it's speech. 22khz is not the problem, the voice needs to be SAPI5 compliant. The old version of Heather was SAPI5 compliant. I hope it's just a matter of time.

re Acapela...thanks for that James while I'm here, having trouble with 1.51 it seems to 'hang' for a while then continues, however the speech (mouth movements) which when rendered is badly out of sync. Now I can take the finished video into another video editer and re-align them, its not so much the speech but the silence between the words seems to be too short. I tried doing the voices sentence by sentence kind of trying to in effect to have keyframes but unless I render each section the whole thing gets more and more out of sync. Does Poserspeak work on the length of the "text" to be spoken then multiply by the frame rate. I usually start and then save the project with all the settings and chars etc before I do anything, but lets say I was to give a person some speech then do a final render at a different frame rate, I presume then the sync wouldn't be correct. Would there be anyway in which to force a keyframe (although I'm sure you must do something along those lines now for the mouth movements)to ensure at least the begining of words where in sync |

RE:re Acapela...If you are layering sound (background sound) it will take a few more seconds to render your final sound. Soo if it hangs when you are not payering sound. Also, if you change to a new voice and render sound, Windows will pause for a moment while it changes voices. This also happens in the Speech Control Panel.About the silence synch problem, i have not noticed this but will check it out for you. What voice are you using and are you adding background sound? Also what phrase were you rendering. If i can repeat the problem, i will fix and update. |

RE:quick example...Hi Romskye, Thanks for making the example. What you are seeing looks more like a transition issue. Try this and see if it helps. First, up your Poser FPS to 60 (In Poser > Window > Animation Pallette > Change "Rate" box to 60). Then load you character and launch PoserSpeak. In PoserSpeak change the "keys" to 2 or higher (PoserSpeak > Animation Preferences). See if that gives you a better render.cheers, -james

RE:RE:quick example...Sorry I been so long. I've made all sorts of tests (well 1 a night for a while). I've increased the frame rate and increased the 'keys'. 2 or 4 did not make any difference neither did increasing the frame rate, in fact it got worse increasing the frame rate then of course I had to decrease the frame rate to take it into another video editing program taking the sound off and then re-applying. If I stick to small sections its manageable but anything long and it goes to pot. Never mind I will wait for verion 2 coming out |
